mycelium

“my home” series, 2018. Cast blue oyster mycelium, raw cotton, and found cardboard, birch, soldering wire.

This work is influenced by generative modes of production, minimalism, and performance. It is a process piece that involves the casting of mycelium with found cardboard. The structure resembles the angular roofing on American suburban homes but doesn’t fully articulate a spatial privacy. It will fall apart over time.
